This morning on my way to work I got into my car and my radio was on. I normally don’t listen to my radio but I heard a few words of this song and the Holy Spirit tugged on my heart to turn the volume up and lo and behold God was speaking to me through a Katy Perry song titled “Fireworks”.

The song started like this ……

I listened up until the end and was so amazed at how much God loves me and will go the whatever distance to speak to and comfort us. I knew God was talking to me today as Katy Perry’s sang because songs are one of the ways God talks to me in my relationship with Him.

Few things…

1) God doesn’t leave his own

Katy’s parents are pastors and as much as they are praying for her, God is using her in anyway he can to be a voice. At least he used her song today to minister to me.

2) You cannot box God.

I played this song over and again the whole day but it’s just interesting how God can choose to use whatever he pleases to speak to us and call our attention.

3) God is always intentional. I have heard this song randomly before but never paid attention to the words, God knew I’ll be getting into my car at that point when the song was playing on the radio station that happened to be tuned in my car, God also knew what exact line will catch my attention.

The thing is I have been at a very uncertain point of my life and at a crossroad. (I’ll like to talk about it now with you guys but I’m writing it all and preparing to share it in a soon enough) So today most importantly I want to let you know that “God knows why.” Whatever you’re going through, wherever you are and however you feel, God knows why. God loves you and let this be your own message ’cause baby you’re firework! 💥

P.S This is a positive song. It might not be gospel but it’s a good message and I don’t believe the Holy Spirit will have be entertained if it was a sinful, cuss word loaded and degrading type of music. Yes God will speak to you however he chooses but please don’t replace this for opening your bible to hear his direct word and voice.
