Submission always sounds like so much work, rules, and do’s and don’ts that we have to follow in a relationship, but with God it’s far from this.
Submission in this context is us giving our lives to the creator of the universe, it is us surrendering our very being to the one who created us, it’s loving God with all of our hearts and trusting in him to take care of our every need.
Submission is one of the keys necessary for walking in alignment with God because we don’t have all the answers but Jesus does.
Although God has given us the luxury of “choice”, He doesn’t want us to do life by ourselves but with Him, daily. He wants us to submit to Him and trust Him fully with all our our lives.
Proverbs 3:5& 6 says – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
He wants to make life easier for us. He wants to direct us to the path of purpose. He wants to tell us what works and what doesn’t. He wants to reveal His glory through us. He wants to break every chain holding us back. He wants to remove every stronghold binding us. He wants to remove every form of doubt, unbelief, fear, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, envy, frustration, depression and negative thinking that the enemy uses to control our minds and hearts.
Give him that baggage and watch what he gives you in return. Give him that addiction and watch what he gives you in return. Give him that fear and watch what he gives you in return.
1 Samuel 15:22 says : But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
Submit yourself to Him and be released from every form of limitation.
James 4:7 – Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
